When some great sorrow, like a mighty river,Flows through your life with peace-destroying powerAnd dearest things are swept from sight forever,Say to your heart each trying hour:

" This, too, shall pass away."

 

거대한 슬픔이 노도의 강처럼 평화를 파괴하는 힘으로 그대의 삶으로 쳐들어오고 소중한 것들이 눈 앞에서 영원히 사라져 갈 때 매 힘든 순간마다 그대의 마음에 말하라.
